Appearance: Nid, unlike most Felaryans, does wear clothes. His human half sports a plain beige shirt and he wears a beige baseball cap that still has the remains of an unknown logo. Nid also wears a small, grey and blue hiking backpack, an invaluable tool as he stores food, supplies, and any unusual or possibly valuable items in it. His spider half is that of a tarantula, with very thick legs. Coincidently, his spider half is also beige, but a shade darker then his shirt and hat.
Back-story: Not much is known of Nid’s past, mostly because he refuses to talk about it with anyone, be they predator or prey. What is known is that Nid was once human, and transported to Felarya due to its dimensional instability. Shortly after arriving, Nid was transformed into a Dridder by unknown means. Originally believing his new body to be a curse, which he labeled himself as a ‘’freak’’ he soon came to realize his body was a gift, especially after learning the food chain of Felarya. Nid now uses his new body to help anyone he can whether it be escorting a group of humans through the forest or helping a fairy out of a Feyweed.
Personality: Nid is a very kind, easy-going, thoughtful (yet sometimes naïve) person, who cares about helping people, be they predator or prey. He can be angered very quickly when the incorrect ‘’button’’ is pushed and tends to think out loud. A very unusual trait of Nid is that he sees all Felaryans as people, from Neko to Human to Naga to Fairy. This has unfortunately left him somewhat an outcast, as he won’t allow any predator to eat any sentient creatures while in his presence. At the same time, he will not allow ‘’prey’’ species to attack a predator. This policy can be overwritten if he believes the person is question truly deserves it.
Hunting habits: Nid does accept the Felaryan food chain, though he doesn’t agree to follow it. Unwilling to take a life, he primarily eats fruit and animals he can catch, using his natural Dridder venom to ’’feed’’. In times of desperation, he will target larger predators for food, not because he dislikes them, but because it the logical choice. A big meal vs. several smaller ones. Although he doesn’t like to admit it, he knows by eliminating a predator he is saving lives, but at the cost of the predator’s life. Nid rarely ever feeds this way, as his backpack always has a large amount of fruit to keep him full and hunger under control.
Likes: Citroise (Tasty!), Felarya’s majesty (as he likes to call it), laughing, talking (seriously, he wont shut up sometimes), helping people, advanced tech, magic, and making friends.
Dislikes: Anyone who threatens him or anyone under his protection, insults against humans( he was one!), people with bad personalities( Selfish, Rude, inconsiderate, etc), preds who try to eat in front of him( NOT HAPPENING!) , Mantoids( for obvious reasons), and climbing things vertically( it feels unnatural to him and he also has a slight fear of heights!)
Current location: Nid has become a traveler of sorts, believing his new body makes invincible to Felarya’s dangers, allowing him to explore unheeded. As such, he currently is southwest of the Lake of Illusions and although he won’t admit it, is utterly lost.
